We own our entire end-to-end from a flexible R&D platform with pilot-scale facilities up until a multi-site commercial production supply network.
We're a Series-B stage venture-backed startup, with a strong DTC e-commerce presence, as well as mass retail distribution.
About the Work
We're looking for a Fractional Business Development Lead who can establish new partnerships that drive innovation in foodtech and nutrition.
Specifically, you'll:
- Qualify business development opportunities across 3 main areas of innovation:
- Clinical research
- Novel ingredient development
- Regulatory path strategy & requirements
- Work with internal teams to recommend next steps for advancing and nurturing partnerships with potential co-development partners and/or research collaborators.
- Assess the risk and stability of potential new partners against company commercial objectives and propose mitigation strategies for financial, operational and market-related factors.
- Support partner due diligence, negotiations, and deal structuring
- Build robust forecasts, manage project level P&Ls and collaborate with finance to drive business priorities and financial discipline
- Partner with innovation team to ensure partnership decisions align to product development and research priorities
About You
You should meet all the following:
- You've done business development and product innovation work for food businesses with a strong background in contract negotiation
- A background in some of the following fields:
- Biotech, medical devices, pharma, and other related medical fields
- Recombinant food technologies, precision fermentation, molecular farming, cultivated meat, and other novel food tech
- Can be based anywhere in the world, our team is globally distributed with HQ in the US
- MBA or finance background preferred
