Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to spearhead the development and execution of our marketing initiatives. The role requires a highly skilled professional who can deliver a comprehensive marketing plan, build a high-performing team, and establish strong partnerships with external agencies. The contract duration is for the time required to achieve the outlined deliverables, with a maximum of 3 months.

Responsibilities

1. Marketing Plan Development:

  • Create a detailed marketing plan for launch and post-launch phases, aimed at achieving 100,000 sign-ups.
  • Define strategies, channels, and key activities to drive brand awareness and customer acquisition.

2. Marketing Team Design:

  • Develop the structure for the marketing team, specifying roles and responsibilities.
  • Outline a phased hiring plan, detailing when each role will be required during the implementation of the marketing plan.

3. Agency Brief Creation:

  • Draft a comprehensive brief for a marketing/advertising agency, outlining objectives, deliverables, and KPIs.

4. Agency Shortlist:

  • Research and identify six integrated marketing agencies to share the brief.

5. Agency Selection:

  • Manage the agency selection process, narrowing the shortlist to 2-3 agencies for final pitches.
  • Lead the evaluation process and make the final selection.

6. Reporting and Metrics:

  • Identify key performance metrics to measure the success of marketing initiatives.
  • Create a dashboard and reporting framework to track and communicate progress.

7. Recruitment of Full-Time CMO:

  • Identify and recruit a permanent Chief Marketing Officer to take over the execution of the marketing plan and manage the selected agency.

Experience

  • Proven track record as a CMO or senior marketing leader in fast-paced environments.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing successful marketing plans.
  • Experience with agency briefing, selection, and management.
  • Familiarity with performance metrics and creating reporting dashboards.

Skills

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
