About Visible Hands Collaborative (VHC):
Visible Hands Collaborative is a nonprofit organization committed to fostering relational, dynamic dialogue practices through Integrative Community Therapy (ICT). VHC serves teachers, health workers, businesses, and educational systems, transforming interpersonal interactions to promote connected and positive experiences. As the organization transitions leadership, we seek an Interim Director/Manager to sustain operations and provide essential support to instructors, clients, and the Board of Directors.
Position Overview:
The Interim Director/Manager will play a critical role in maintaining VHC’s operations andsupporting its stakeholders during this transition period. This socially entrepreneurial positiondemands strong leadership, organizational management, and financial acumen to ensure thecontinuity of programs and services. Working part-time under the guidance of the Board Chair,the Interim Director/Manager will uphold VHC’s mission while supporting the organization’sstrategic planning efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth execution of VHC’s programs and services.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to ICT instructors and monitor their current client engagements.
- Maintain organized systems for tracking operational progress and reporting outcomes.
Financial Oversight
- Collaborate with the Board Treasurer to manage financial activities, including budgeting, invoicing, and contract administration.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the Board and other stakeholders,
Client Contract Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client contracts, addressing inquiries and ensuring contract compliance.
- Work closely with instructors and clients to facilitate program delivery and satisfaction. Board Support
- Work directly with the Board Chair to provide updates on organizational activities, challenges, and opportunities.
- Assist the Board with strategic planning initiatives, offering insights and recommendations to guide future directions.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Foster positive relationships with existing and potential stakeholders, including funders, community partners, and clients.
- Professionally represent VHC, embodying the organization’s mission and values.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Proven experience in nonprofit management, program administration, or organizational leadership.
- Familiarity with financial management, including budgeting and reporting.
- Experience working with Boards of Directors and engaging in strategic planning.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and maintain focus during periods of organizational change.
Knowledge:
- Understanding of socially entrepreneurial ventures and nonprofit operations.
- Familiarity with collaborative dialogic practices or Integrative Community Therapy. (preferred but not required).
Compensation and Contract Details:
This is a part-time contract position for 24 hours per week for someone based in Pennsylvania.
The role is compensated on an hourly basis with no additional benefits. The contract duration
will align with the organization’s transition timeline and may be extended or adjusted based on
VHC’s needs.
