As we expand, we are looking for a Fractional Legal Counsel with a strong background in business law, particularly within the healthcare or telehealth industry, to provide legal support and ensure compliance with industry regulations.‍

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on business law matters related to telehealth and healthcare
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, and partnership deals
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including telemedicine laws, HIPAA, and other industry-specific legal standards
• Advise on corporate governance, risk management, and business transactions
• Collaborate with internal teams to support business operations while mitigating legal risks
• Stay current on legal developments in healthcare and telehealth industries that may impact the company

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active law license
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in business law, with significant experience in the healthcare or telehealth space
• Strong knowledge of healthcare laws, including HIPAA and telemedicine compliance
• Proven experience in contract negotiation, drafting, and business transactions
• Ability to work independently and manage legal work on a part-time basis (up to 10 hours/week)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Must be located in the Eastern or Central Time Zone.
