About Us
We are building a consumer product for high-fidelity visual generation and editing powered by advanced AI models.
Both co-founders are ex-Google Brain / DeepMind, and we've raised a round of funding from some of the top VCs in Silicon Valley.
About the Work
We're looking for a Fractional Senior Backend Engineer to help us build a high-performant, scalable system to support the launch of our AI model playground, and more.
Specifically, you'll:
- Design and develop backend services and APIs using FastAPI
- Optimize application performance through strategic caching and efficient data handling
- Think through challenges related to concurrency and scalability
- Ensure secure authentication and authorization flows
- If you have significant data pipeline experience, we also need help with:
- building robust web scraping and data extraction pipelines to acquire unique datasets
- data cleaning, normalization, validation
- Work most closely with our CTO and small engineering team
Tech Stack:
- React + Remix
- Python + Fast API
- GCP
- Redis
About You
You MUST have:
- Been a senior/staff-level Backend focused engineer at other startups and growth stage tech companies
- Highly comfortable with Python, Fast API, and Redis
- Built caching strategies
- Designed systems for significant scale
Nice-to-haves:
- Significant data pipeline experience for ML use cases
- web scraping at scale (Scrapy, BeautifulSoup, or Playwright)
- Data cleaning and validation
- Apache Beam experience
