About Us

GrowLetter is a newsletter growth agency. We’re new. About 2 years old. But we have grown over 857% in the last 12 months and our clients include the largest and fastest growing newsletters, media companies, and creators. We are looking for a Fractional Paid Marketing Manager that loves managing ads and making ads. You’ll need a deep understanding of the Facebook (aka Meta) ad platform, creative skills to make awesome ads, and copy skills to know what makes people click and convert.

Job Description

Our core service is using Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok ads to get our clients more newsletter subscribers and customers.

Your job is to improve ad performance. To drive more subscribers and customers, at lower cost. You’ll do this by:

Creating and testing ad creative:

  • You’ll write copy (short and long form).
  • Create images, gifs, memes, and simple videos (mostly with tools like Canva and Kapwing).
  • Test your ad creatives on Facebook and TikTok with the goal of lower client CPAs.
  • Here’s some examples of the types of videos and images you’ll be making.
  • We also have a copywriter, video editor, and designer who will support you in making all of these.

Work with creators and actors to make video ads:

  • You’ll be creating scripts and instructions for these creators to make video ads.
  • You’ll also help find more creators and actors for us to work with.

Ad campaign construction and maintenance:

  • You’ll learn the GrowLetter Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for building campaigns to specifications and managing them.
  • Take direction and translate it into properly set up campaigns.
  • Maintain knowledge of (ever-changing) paid media tools for building campaigns, audiences, conversion tracking, and other tools used in delivering results for clients.
  • You’ll make sure spending is on pace with our client's budget and make daily adjustments to ad campaigns to improve performance.

Paid media analysis and reports:

  • You'll need complete understanding of the Facebook Ads Manager.
  • Competency in Google ads, TikTok ads, and Twitter ads is a bonus.
  • Mastery of interpreting the data and relating it to the customer journey.
  • Ability to spot problem areas in a campaign and bring them to team's attention.
  • Contribute to broader marketing strategy and make client recommendations.
  • High reliability and attention to the campaigns under your management.
  • You should be able to distill complex ideas and data into clear, easy-to-understand reports for both your team and clients.
  • Attention to detail. The smallest changes to ad campaigns and ad creative can make HUGE difference in the results.

Client and team communication:

  • You'll be the primary contact for the GrowLetter clients you're assigned to.
  • Timely and clear communication is key. You'll need to answer client questions, manage expectations, and do some client meetings.
  • Most communication is done over slack. Some clients require biweekly meetings but not all.
  • You'll also work with GrowLetter's team of copywriters, designers, and video editors to make ad creative for clients.

Experience

  • 3+ years working in paid ads / media buying
  • Experience and deep understanding of Facebook ad manager - campaign creation, management, conversion tracking, and creative
  • Copywriting. This is key. You’ve read books, blogs, and/or taken courses on copywriting
  • Communication skills. Skill managing clients expectations and answer questions
  • Google, Twitter, TikTok ad and other ad platform experience is a bonus - not a requirement
  • UGG Video scripts. You can write scripts and instructions for UGC ad creators.
  • Design. Basic design and video editing skills. You can make simple graphics and memes with Canva. Make basic video edits in Kapwing.
  • Google sheets. You can make simple client-facing reports with google sheets.
  • Experience working at a marketing agency is preferred but not required.
  • Experience running ads to drive newsletter growth is preferred but not required.
