About the Role
We are seeking an experienced strategic communications professional to support our team part-time (~20 hours/week) for 25 weeks, with a focus on corporate communications spanning external and internal communications strategy and execution. In this part-time role, you’ll partner closely with executives to advise on communications strategy, crafting comprehensive communications plans and materials that are clear, consistent, on-brand, and aligned to company goals.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring that all external and internal communications assets tell a unified story, while protecting Reverb’s brand perception and reputation among buyers, sellers, and employees. While you’ll work with the entire executive team, you’ll partner most closely with our Chief People Officer as well as in tandem with our Senior Manager of Public Relations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute on comprehensive communications strategies, including crafting proactive and reactive talking points, media statements, and other assets that help us tell a clear and unified story across internal and external stakeholders.
- Advise on internal and external communication response to crisis situations or critical announcements, with a goal of minimizing negative impact on brand perception and employee engagement.
- Develop communications strategies and materials for internal announcements, such as supporting employees and the People team as we open our new office and evolve processes around how and where we work.
- Draft, edit, and review key written and verbal communications materials to ensure that they align with company priorities and are written with Reverb’s key internal and external audiences in mind.
- Partner with PR, social media, sales, support, and other customer-facing teams on proactive and reactive communications to ensure announcements are unified and align with Reverb’s overall goals and brand positioning.
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience working in strategic communications, with experience crafting strategies and materials for external and internal audiences.
- A proven track record of leading communications strategies for large and/or complex projects.
- Extensive experience partnering with and advising senior leaders across disciplines.
- Ability to quickly grasp and synthesize sophisticated issues and comfort working with confidential information and across priorities.
- Impeccable writing skills with attention to detail and the ability to communicate information to multiple audiences.
