About Us

‍Confidence Brands is developing a new racquet sports club concept, currently in stealth mode. We are an experienced team of hospitality and leisure industry operators aiming to launch our first location in the US in the next 12-18 months. We plan to roll out numerous facilities across the US over the next 10 years. We've raised a small amount of capital to date, and are focused on raising a larger round to take us past launch day. That's where you come in!

The Role

‍We are seeking an experienced Fractional CFO to spearhead our financial strategy, working alongside the company’s founders to strategize and develop robust business plans, financial models, and funding initiatives. This role will be crucial in guiding our financial planning and securing the capital necessary to fuel our growth and achieve our ambitious goals.

Expected hours: 10 - 20 hrs / week to start, which can likely scale down to 5 - 10 hrs as the fundraising process concludes

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary financial advisor to the founders, providing strategic insights and recommendations to shape the company's financial and business strategies
• Develop comprehensive business plans and financial models tailored to the needs of a fast-paced, evolving startup
• Support our capital raising efforts, from identifying potential investors to preparing for and participating in meetings and negotiations
• Monitor financial performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet business goals and investor expectations
• Maintain and update financial systems and controls to ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory standards

The Ideal Candidate

• Important Criteria: Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or relevant role, with 10+ years total work experience under your belt
• Important Criteria: Dedicated experience working in a similar industry with brick-and-mortar locations: hospitality, fitness, leisure, etc.
• Important Criteria: Can point to past successes securing funding and working with investors, ideally with early-stage startups
• Expert in business planning, financial modeling and business strategy development
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate financial strategy and engage with stakeholders at all levels
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field; CPA or other relevant qualification
