Delfina provides a leading pregnancy care data platform to improve maternal and child health outcomes.
About You
Our fractional CFO will work closely with the CEO and Director of Corporate Operations to support day-to-day operational accounting needs and strategic financial decision-making. Our CFO is someone who has excellent problem-solving and communication skills, has a high level of attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment. Your objective is to lead finance operations and accounting at Delfina.
Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping Management: Maintain communication with external bookkeeping team to ensure accurate statements and organization
- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Oversee financial statement management and create financial reports on an as-needed basis
- Treasury Management: Allocating funds and managing internal transfers to fund operational accounts while maximizing yield and mitigating risk.
- Risk Management: Identify potential areas of risk and develop mitigation strategies alongside CEO and Director of Corporate Operations
- Reimbursement: Manage reimbursements to employees and contractors based on company policy

Qualifications
- MBA, MAC, or MHA
- Minimum 5 years experience in progressively responsible roles leading financial operations with demonstrated track record of success
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and systems, accounting methods, and payroll tax considerations for multi-state organizations
- US residence for a fully remote position
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification
- Early-stage startup experience
- Experience with financial management of Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants
Compensation
$2,500 - $3,500 USD per month
The compensation range for this contract position represents a wide variety of factors, including location, skills, experience, education, and training. Candidates who meet most of the qualifications above should expect to earn near the middle of the posted compensation range.
