About Us
At Herrmann Global, we’re not just a tourism marketing agency—we’re strategists, storytellers, and trusted partners. We bring destinations to life through data-driven insights and compelling stories that resonate with audiences worldwide. From DMOs to travel brands, we help our clients create meaningful connections with travelers while driving long-term economic impact.
We’re looking for a Fractional CFO who shares our passion for purposeful growth. You’ll partner directly with ownership and leadership to enhance financial clarity, optimize operations, and co-create systems that support a thriving future for our agency and the destinations we serve.
Who You Are
We’re looking for a hands-on financial leader who’s excited to roll up their sleeves and grow alongside a nimble, values-driven team.
You might be a great fit if you:
- Bridge the gap between executive ownership and department leadership.
- Thrive in small business, agency, or remote-first environments.
- Take a “teacher-first” approach, making financial systems and reporting clear, digestible, and actionable.
- Bring strong expertise in audits, scenario modeling, budgeting, and improving financial systems.
- Balance attention to detail with big-picture thinking.
- Collaborate with entrepreneurial teams, bringing a practical, proactive mindset and a good sense of humor.
- Understand the realities of growing a small business—stay flexible, resource-savvy, and motivated to build for scale, not just stability.
What to Expect: Commitment & Engagement
- Fractional/retainer-based role with heavier involvement during the first 90 days (initial audit + onboarding).
- Ongoing quarterly check-ins and as-needed advisory support.
- Flexible availability based on leadership and project cycles.
- Occasional travel to Wyoming for onboarding or key business reviews (preferred but not required).
What You'll Do
Phase 1: Audit & Discovery
- Conduct a full financial audit of systems, processes, products, services, travel brands (e.g., Untraveled and Visit USA Parks), and reporting.
- Review financial tools (QuickBooks Online, Accelo) and recommend optimizations.
- Collaborate with leadership and department heads to identify financial gaps and pain points.
Phase 2: Strategic Advisory
- Deliver scenario-based financial insights (e.g., hiring feasibility, pricing models, profitability, and commission structure reviews).
- Serve as a trusted advisor on forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial strategy.
- Present quarterly financial health updates with clear, actionable recommendations.
Phase 3: Ongoing Optimization
- Support financial planning efforts related to salary bands, benefits expansion, and company growth goals.
- Improve financial systems and workflows (QBO, Accelo, CRM integrations).
- Mentor leadership to increase financial literacy across the organization.
- Build safeguards to ensure ownership retains full financial control and oversight.
Your Skills And Experience
- 5+ years of financial leadership or CFO-level consulting, ideally in agency environments (marketing, creative, tourism, or related industries).
- Demonstrated success working with small businesses and/or remote teams.
- Strong expertise in financial audits, forecasting, scenario modeling, and budgeting for service-based businesses.
- Deep understanding of QuickBooks Online, project-based financial management (Accelo preferred), and cloud-based financial systems.
- Proficiency in developing financial dashboards and data visualizations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to “teach and translate” financial concepts to leadership and non-financial teams.
- Familiarity with Wyoming’s business environment or similar regional markets (preferred but not required).
Ready to help us shape what’s next? We’d love to hear from you.
