As we continue to grow, we are looking for a forward-thinking and experienced Fractional CTO to guide our technological strategy and development. This role is ideal for a technology leader passionate about health and wellness and who can contribute to our mission while balancing other commitments.

Role Overview

The Fractional CTO will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the codebase, proposing innovative technical solutions, and mentoring the development team, including mobile app developers, backend developers, and data scientists. You will play a crucial role in shaping Tastermonial’s technology vision and strategy, ensuring our platform is scalable, secure, and ready for future growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic technology roadmap that aligns with Tastermonial’s business objectives.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of the codebase through rigorous reviews and best practices.
• Propose and evaluate technical solutions to meet business and product needs.
• Act as a mentor to mobile app developers, backend developers, and data scientists, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
• Oversee the development and optimization of our platform, mobile app, and related technologies.
• Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with industry regulations.
• Lead the technology team in adopting new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Manage technology budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently.

Requirements

• Obsess with ways to improve user experiences. Have launched an app before and grew its use base
• Strong background in software development, cloud infrastructure, data security, and mobile technologies.
• Experience in ensuring code quality and mentoring technical teams.
• Familiarity with the health, wellness, or nutraceutical industries is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Passion for health, wellness, and the role of technology in transforming lives.
• Have some experiences building AI applications and recommendation systems a plus

Compensation and Trial Period

• Trial Period: 1 month.
• Expected Hours: 20 to 40 hours per month.
• Compensation: Stock options and a small salary during and after the trial period, with potential for increased involvement as Tastermonial grows.
