About Us
fjorge is seeking a fractional Recruiting & HR Leader to manage and enhance our talent acquisition efforts—primarily in Minneapolis, MN and Kumasi, Ghana—while overseeing key HR functions. This role will guide our existing recruiting strategies, develop new best practices, and champion onboarding, performance management, compliance, benefits, and culture-related initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruitment (sourcing, screening, interviewing) for both U.S. and Ghana-based roles
- Refine current recruiting strategies and implement new approaches to attract high-caliber technology talent
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements and maintain a healthy candidate pipeline
- Onboarding & Performance Management
- Ensure a seamless onboarding process, from extending offers to facilitating new-hire orientation
- Develop and coordinate performance management tools and processes, working with managers to set goals and measure employee success
- HR Compliance & Benefits
- Maintain awareness of HR legal requirements in relevant jurisdictions (Minneapolis and Ghana) and ensure compliance
- Oversee employee benefits enrollment and administration, serving as a point of contact for any benefits inquiries
- Culture Promotion
- Embody and promote fjorge’s values, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Serve as a culture ambassador, guiding managers and teams on best practices that support engagement and retention
- Leadership & Reporting
- Report directly to the CEO, providing insights on recruiting metrics, HR initiatives, and overall organizational health
- Work primarily independently, but lead a small hiring team on open roles to ensure alignment and efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of recruiting experience, ideally focused on technology roles
- Proven track record in onboarding, performance management, compliance, and benefits administration
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Comfort and experience working fractionally, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and projects independently
- Ability to adapt strategies to different markets (U.S. and international) and cultural settings
Time Commitment & Compensation
- This is a fractional role, requiring an average of X hours per week (to be determined based on need)
- Compensation is hourly or retainer-based, depending on experience and agreed-upon scope
