Role Description

This is a contract remote role for a Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Enver. The Fractional CFO will be responsible for financial planning, preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, financial reporting, and overseeing financial operations.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fractional CFO to join our leadership team. As CFO, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial health of Enver Studio, managing both day-to-day financial operations and long-term strategic planning. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, creative environment where innovation meets sound financial management on a part-time basis.

Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Projections

• Develop and implement financial projections for the company as a whole, as well as for individual game products and new ventures.
• Analyze market trends, competitive data, and internal performance metrics to guide financial decisions and growth strategies.

Expense vs. Revenue vs. Profit Reporting

• Create detailed and comprehensive reports analyzing expenses, revenues, and profits across the entire business and on a per-product basis.
• Provide regular financial performance updates to the executive team, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.

Payroll & Contractor Management

• Oversee all payroll operations, particularly for contractors and freelance team members, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Monitor contractor agreements and budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and contractual compliance.

Bookkeeping & Financial Systems Oversight

• Manage the bookkeeper and ensure accurate record-keeping for all financial transactions.
• Oversee financial software systems to guarantee that all financial data is up-to-date and functioning properly.
• Troubleshoot issues and optimize processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Subscription & Vendor Management

• Manage all recurring software and service subscriptions, ensuring that only active and essential ones are maintained.
• Periodically review all subscriptions to identify cost-saving opportunities by canceling unused or redundant services.

Tax Planning & Compliance

• Identify and implement tax-saving strategies to optimize Enver Studio’s financial standing.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, managing tax filings and working closely with external tax advisors when necessary.

Budgeting & Cash Flow Management

• Oversee budgeting processes, ensuring that both operational and development costs are accurately forecasted and monitored.
• Manage cash flow effectively to ensure the company has adequate liquidity to meet its obligations and invest in future growth.

Risk Management

• Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that Enver Studio’s financial position remains stable.
• Develop contingency plans for economic downturns or unexpected financial challenges.

Financial Auditing & Reporting

• Lead internal and external auditing processes to ensure financial transparency and accuracy.
• Produce regular financial reports, including quarterly and annual financial statements.

Qualifications

• Financial Planning and Financial Statements expertise
• Experience managing financial operations in a startup or fast-growth environment is a plus.
• Strong Finance and Analytical Skills
• Experience in Financial Reporting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• CPA or MBA in Finance is preferred
