About Us

Our goal is to liberate energy from cumbersome cables and provide secure and efficient wireless charging solutions for all applications. We are looking for a Fractional Financial Controller to manage our financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide strategic financial insights on a fractional basis. This role offers flexibility, with the opportunity to support our expanding UK operations.
Position Overview
The Fractional Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial management, including preparing management accounts, handling VAT returns, and managing cash flow. The role requires someone with strong experience in UK financial regulations and tax compliance who can provide high-level financial leadership on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations, and manage any queries or inspections.
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow reports.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Provide financial planning and analysis to support key business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial legislation.
- Improve internal financial controls and processes to optimize financial performance.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial institutions.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA, ACA, or CIMA certification preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a senior role.
- Strong understanding of UK tax laws, VAT regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience in preparing management accounts and handling VAT returns.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making abilities.
- Prior experience in a fractional, part-time, or consulting financial role is an advantage.
