Role Description
JJR is looking for a senior level consultant to help support and lead our projects related to Auditing and Accounting. This person would need to be available for up to 20 hours per week during working hours of 9-5pm to be able to participate in internal and external meetings.
Responsibilities
- Support multiple large and complex projects simultaneously.
- Co-lead project initiatives alongside project Senior Advisors, and coordinate closely to ensure alignment on objectives, timelines, and deliverables to drive project success and achieve strategic goals.
- Actively participate in team meetings, provide valuable insights, and foster a cooperative work atmosphere to drive project success and enhance overall team performance.
- Work efficiently and meet tight deadlines, delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple priorities and tasks.
- Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with clients by understanding their unique needs, delivering tailored solutions, and providing exceptional service to foster long-term partnerships.
Qualifications
- Accounting/Auditing background - 10 years minimum experience.
- Experience developing and implementing internal controls, including SOPs.
- Experience with Accounting systems and how they work.
- Skilled in scoping out projects by assessing client requirements, identifying necessary team member skills, and estimating the hours needed to achieve project goals, ensuring effective resource allocation and alignment with client expectations.
- Previous experience with new business development including supporting the process for grants, RFQs, or RFPs.
- Previous consulting experience is preferred but not required.

- Possesses the energy and ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
- Understands the importance of trust, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Understanding of racial equity and ability to apply an equity lens to all work.
- Proficient in MS Suite including Teams and Planner.
