The MIKUTA brand was founded in Berlin by Jacqueline Mikuta and Klemens White, starting in 2017 with a small jewellery line, which later expanded to clothing in 2019. MIKUTA is a young, wild & free-inspired fashion brand for modern women with a glimpse of rock’n’roll. MIKUTA is currently one of the fastest-growing direct-to-consumer brands in the fashion market.
Our Team is spread across Europe, with a Studio Office in Berlin and a production Office in northern Portugal. We are currently working with Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter Collection cycles and soon grow to a product portfolio of more than 400 products.

Role Overview
We’re looking for a Fractional CFO to join MIKUTA on a flexible basis, dedicating 10–20 hours per week. This role is critical to addressing our current financial challenges, ensuring transparency, and building a solid foundation for strategic growth.
As a key partner to the leadership team, you’ll work to create accurate cash flow forecasts, proactively analyze and mitigate risks, and drive financial strategy across a complex, multi-entity structure. You’ll also play a vital role in bringing greater visibility and strategic foresight to our finances.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement accurate cash flow forecasting to improve financial visibility and stability.
- Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities through rigorous internal analysis and diligence.
- Provide strategic oversight to shift the finance function from reactive to proactive, ensuring long-term planning.
- Design and execute budgeting processes to identify overspending and strategically allocate resources.
- Enhance transparency on profitability across entities and the consolidated group, providing actionable insights to founders and management.
- Manage the financial complexity of a mother entity with European subsidiaries (Germany, Portugal, Netherlands, UK) and support future expansion into additional markets.
- Oversee reporting processes at both entity and group levels, ensuring clarity on profitability and financial health.
About You
- Exceptional english skills both verbal & written
- Proven experience as a CFO, Financial Consultant, or similar role, ideally in startups or scale-ups within the fashion, product, or e-commerce sectors.
- Strong expertise in cash flow management, budgeting, and financial strategy in complex multi-entity structures.
- Comfortable navigating international markets, with experience working across multiple subsidiaries and legal frameworks.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify hidden risks and opportunities through data.
- Strategic thinker who can shift finance operations from reactive to proactive.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
